Housing Executive visit P7
On the 26th of November Stephen, a Housing Officer, Miriam, who deals with housing community, and Amy, a student at Thornhill, talked to the Primary 7 children about how they get disabled, elderly and others that need help in normal homes to get into special, individual homes. A Housing Officer tries to find houses that can be changesso that they are suitable for the person or people that will occupy them. A Housing Officer also has to deal with issues that an occupant may have, such as ball games outside their property. Miriam finds out what the people are struggling and tries to support their clients. They also talk about how everyone in our community is important and six children were picked to dress up as different people in our community. They showed a video about the impacts of vandalism too.
