Primary 7 welcomed visitors from Croatia and Cyprus
Primary 7 welcomed visitors from Croatia and Cyprus. on Friday. They told us how to pronounce common words from their different languages. They let us try on some of their traditional clothing too. The visitors told us about what they do in their free time and what their traditional foods are. They even gave us a taste of what they like to snack on. We discussed and compared what we eat and what we drink. Did you know that people from Croatia, Cyprus and Northern Ireland often have a roast dinner to celebrate a religious day? We found out that Cyprus can be really warm in the summer, but in the winter temperatures can reach -30°C. This means that they can ski down the mountains in the morning and sunbath on the beach in the afternoon. Written by Aoife & Anna, P7.
