Rebecca from FP McCann visits Primary 6
We have been studying bridges in Primary 6. On Wednesday we welcomed Rebecca from FP McCann Ltd to speak to us about the new North West Greenway Bay Road Bridge. She was able to show us time-lapse photography of the bridge being put into place and aerial footage of the development.
She was also able to talk to us about the Ballynameen Bridge in Claudy. When it was damaged by flood waters, it had to be rebuilt and Rebecca had photographs and spoke about the process and how they were able to use some of the stone from original bridge.
Rebecca was also able to speak about the construction of different types of bridges around the world.
We were very lucky to have her visit both Primary 6 classes and we even got little treats of pencils, erasers and sharpeners.
