Green Screen at the CCA Gallery
Primary 4 worked with Denzil to create images based upon Smiling, Sweating and Resisting, a group exhibitions of works that circulate around the idea of the carnival. Works in the exhibition used carnival and the carnivalesque to think through the conditions of plantation life and sugar production in the Caribbean and their dependence on the transatlantic slave trade. It showed the contrasts of the lives of the people at the time. The children drew inspiration form the work to create Green Screen pictures.
