Last of the Summer Wine Club visit Primary 7

As part of the 'Our Community' project the intergenerational club 'Last of the Summer Wine' made a visit Primary 7.  They told us what it was like when they where young, what toys they got for Christmas, the jobs they had and what it was like during the war. Many years ago they explained that houses did not have electricity, so this had abig effect on their lives.  There were no telephones when they were young and they had to walk everywhere, but communities were smaller then.  They recounted stories of teachers they had had and how they were lucky to get anything more than a bar of chocolate at Christmas.
