P6 and The YES Project

Primary 6 really enjoyed the Y.E.S. (Youth Educated in Safety) project visit to Shantallow Community Centre. The children learned how to remain safe in a variety of different scenarios in their communities.
The workshops were guided by teams of professionals from the emergency services, local authorities and organisations, community workers and students.  They included the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service, The Neighbourhood Policing Team (PSNI), Dog Control (DCSDC), Bus Safety (Translink), Home Accident Prevention (DCSDC), Firework Safety and Anti-Bullying. 

It was a great day!
