Sprocket Rocket Cycling

Oakgrove Integrated Primary School in conjunction with Derry City Council Sports Development dept held a 'Sprocket Rocket' cycling event on Friday 3rd May. 

A total of 21 children from P4 toP7 took part in the event and really enjoyed the event. The instructors carried out a quick maintenance check on the bicycles, checked helmets and put all of the cyclists through their paces to ensure cycling proficiency.

The weather did it's best to ruin the event with incessant rain but the spirit of the children would not be dampened and all persevered to complete a very rewarding cycling course. 

All at Oakgrove would like to thank Derry City Council for all of the cycling events that have been run and organised this year and look forward to working with Michelle from Sustrans for the planned events that have yet to take place during the summer term.
